Talkin' Tournaments with the Vice President

Hey Western, it's Tournament Time and we have one down and 7 to go (that's counting the Jamboree… you are going, aren't you?) It was a good Duck Lake turnout as 24 anglers in 13 boats ventured to the coast. And what can I say, pre-fishing pays off. Check out the results on Page 4--" Tournament Corner".

Special Thanks to the folks at
Echoes of the Sea and Driftwood Acres campground for their hospitality.

Next up: Potholes and some big limits as the moon phase is again in our favor. Here are the specifics: we will be staying at MarDon Resort. Here we will have access to their launch and dock. The Driver's Meeting will be at 0500 hours (AM). For those wanting to, you can launch and tie up to the dock for the livewell inspections. Remember, this lake can be unpredictable, so have all of your safety equipment.

The club has verbally reserved 15 sites but you are required to call MarDon at 1 (800) 416-2736, or visit www.mardonresort.com and make sure you mention Western Bass Club and/or my name (Larry Sullivan) to get the same area as everyone else. If you are a teacher, educator, firefighter, EMT, police officer, or military (current or retired) you get 20% off. You must present I.D. card to them at check-in. For those wanting to try some dock fishing, bring it on! MarDon's fuel dock and marina will be off-limits during the tourney. If you want to catch some trout or whatever is biting, you can have at it and get the little 'uns fishing. This is something we are trying and is restricted to the dock areas only. Don't forget the Potluck on Saturday night. Hope to see y'all at Potholes.
