The National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame has awarded WBC with the prestigious 2003 Organizational Award for our efforts to benefit the warm water fishery in Washington. Out of hundreds of applications per year, only one organization receives this award each year - and we got it!
We owe a great deal of thanks and gratitude to Mr. Dick "Moose" Streater for his perseverance in pursuing this over a 6 year period!
Here is the letter announcing the award:
The National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame is pleased to announce that our National Volunteer Committee of knowledgeable, prestigious persons from the fishing industry have selected the Western Bass Club as the recipient of the 2003 Organizational Award for their efforts to benefit the warm water fishery in Washington.
Their selection will be announced in a public news release out to Hall members, manufacturers, world fisheries, publications and outdoors writers, 5,000 such media releases.
A presentation plaque is being produced at this time. A member of our Awards Committee will contact you.
Again on behalf of all Hall supporters, our Governors and Executive Board. Congratulations.
